2009 is certainly a very exciting year for Churchill Estates as they are releasing nothing less than four new wines from the outstanding 2007 and 2008 vintages. These are the result of some really hard work from Johnny and his young team, who have further improved the vineyards at Gricha, demonstrating the unique terrior it has to offer while also working with fruit from the Douro Superior.
The renaissance of Douro wines continues to capture the imagination of much of the worlds press and interested wine lovers and Churchill’s development in this area continues apace with the introduction of these new wines.
