Justin Liddle - Sales & Marketing
Catch-phrase: ‘Fantastic’ and ‘Ok, lets go with that’.
- What was your first Job?
- If you discount mowing lawns, it would be driving the van for a certain Stokes Fine Wines – it’s been one big circle and my destiny was predetermined a long time ago!
- What has been your greatest wine and food experience?
- Dinner at The Fat Duck with Master Sommelier and General Manager at Rubicon Estate Larry Stone MS, was pretty unique, but it would have to be an unexpected bottle of ‘59 Lafite enjoyed with a cheese board sitting in the garden with a great and much missed friend Charles Delamain.
- If you could make a vintage anywhere, where would you go?
- The Douro Valley!
- Your proudest moment?
- Every time I watch my daughters do something amazing!
- What would your last meal be?
- Rare roast beef accompanied with my roast potatoes and Margo’s Yorkshire puddings, followed by some Montgomery’s Cheddar all washed down with a mature bottle of Roda Rioja.
- What is your desert island wine?
- I would have said ’95 Musigny Vieilles Vignes from Comte de Vogue, but having enjoyed Château de Beaucastel 1989 recently with Graham Nutter of Chateau Saint-Jacques d’Albas, I could be seduced away from Burgundy.
- What would be your fantasy other job?
- I am a bit of frustrated Doctor, so would have to say Team Doctor for Bath Rugby Club.
- Sport: Round Ball or Oval?
- Oval all the way, unless it’s a cricket ball?
- Who, in the whole of history, would you most like to sit next to on a long-haul flight?
- Margo, in first class, with a glass of Krug!
- How would you best like to be remembered?
- I’d just like to be remembered, anything else is a bonus!
